24th International Conference on Image Analysis and Processing
Now in its 24th edition, the biennial International Conference on Image Analysis and Processing (ICIAP) is organised by CVPL, the Italian member society of the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR). The 2027 edition is hosted in Modena by AImageLab, the computer vision and multimedia research laboratory of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
Since 1980 ICIAP has brought together researchers and practitioners working on classic and emerging topics in computer vision, pattern recognition, machine learning and image processing, covering both theoretical foundations and applications. The programme is structured around oral and poster sessions, invited lectures by internationally recognised speakers, and a set of workshops and tutorials held alongside the main conference.
Accepted papers of previous editions were published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science series; publication arrangements for 2027 will be confirmed together with the full call for papers.
ICIAP 2027 welcomes contributions across the breadth of image analysis, pattern recognition and machine learning. The final topic list will be published with the call for papers; the areas below reflect the scope of recent editions.
Submissions run in two rounds. All deadlines are at 23:59 AoE (Anywhere on Earth).

ICIAP 2027 will take place in Modena on 13–17 September 2027: workshops and tutorials on 13–14 September, followed by the main conference on 15–17 September. The venue and the full committee will be announced here as soon as they are confirmed.
Paper submission deadlines are set: 11 February 2027 for the first round and 15 April 2027 for the second, both at 23:59 AoE. The full call will be published on this site.
